GSAR – Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors

The Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors is the largest trade association of Realtors in Central New York. The Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors has over 1,500 members who are actively involved in residential and commercial Real Estate.

Joining the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors makes a person a Realtor. Realtors are people who are working in the Real Estate industry as Brokers, Home Inspectors and Real Estate Agents. There are many benefits of becoming a member.

Central New York Information System

The Central New York Information System (CNYIS) is a Multiple Listing Service (MLS) company which is privately held. All the members of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors can join the CNYIS as well, depending on their vocation.

The Central New York Information System is run by a group of brokers who are members of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors. They also own the CNYIS. It is a prerequisite that every person who joins the CNYIS is a member of GSAR.

The Central New York Information System is now merged with several other information systems to the West and the North. This has made the database more comprehensive and reliable.
